Circus Media House Returns to the Sportfishing Championship for 2026

Circus Media House is proud to once again be part of the production team behind the 2026 Sportfishing Championship (SFC) season. This year’s tour spans 12 locations across the United States, Bahamas, and Mexico, with events broadcast live on ESPN - bringing the intensity and scale of competitive sportfishing to a global audience.

Kicking Off in Key West

The season officially got underway last week in Key West, Florida, with SFC’s The Catch and the Key West Classic. From day one, the energy was high, and expectations were even higher.

Our team was once again paired with the New Jersey Seabirds, running in partnership with Taylor Jean Sportfishing. This year’s roster brought an exciting addition—Super Bowl Champion Trey Burton (TE, Philadelphia Eagles)—adding even more star power to an already competitive lineup.

Behind the Scenes of The Catch

The first of four days was dedicated to filming for The Catch, SFC’s post-produced series that blends competitive fishing with personalities from across professional sports. This unique format brings together athletes from the SFC’s Atlantic and Gulf Divisions alongside NFL stars such as James Cook, Raheem Mostert, and Dalvin Cook.

From a production standpoint, this portion of the event is all about storytelling - capturing not just the fishing, but the personalities, interactions, and candid moments.

Three Days of Competition

The following three days shifted focus to pure competition. With 13 teams in the Atlantic Division, the stakes were high as crews chased sailfish, white marlin, and blue marlin along the Florida Keys.

Conditions were dynamic, requiring teams to adapt quickly while covering large stretches of water in search of the bite.

In the end, the New Jersey Seabirds delivered a strong performance, finishing 4th overall in the Atlantic Division—just one fish shy of the top spot. A result that speaks to both consistency and the competitive depth across the field.

Looking Ahead

With the first event of the season in the books, momentum is already building. Circus Media House is excited to continue working alongside the Sportfishing Championship and ESPN throughout the 2026 season, bringing fans closer to the action through both live broadcasts and premium storytelling.
